A New Life

06/09/2006

A new country, a new environment, a new family, a new school and a new life, these are great challenges for me. But these challenges make me feel substantiate and wonderful!

I have arrived UK on 27/8. I have a fresh atmosphere. And I feel a wonderful for my first impression. I love this place! And my “new life” is started at this place, this moment too.

And I reached my host family home (Justin & Nikki) on 28/8. Both of them are very nice to me and take care of me very much. And I have my bedroom and bathroom. That great! We have the same hobbies, for example: playing guitar, playing piano, cycling… Besides of these, Justin and I also love aviation very much. This is one of our hot topics. And they are well prepared many activities for me to join with and very support me. I feel grateful about that…

For the past month, I got a few rememberable experience happened. Let me share with you:

In the first weekend, we traveled to Cambridge. I am proud to visit that famous town which is full of the learning smell. All the buildings are classical and are the style of old-British. You can’t imagine these were built for a hundred years ago. Actually, every college in the Cambridge is one part of the university. Different subjects have different college. You can imagine how big the university is. Wow!

They have a habit to attend church activities. And I am happy to fellow them and join these also. I never attend church before, so it is quite interesting for me. On the other hand, Justin and Nikki are members of the church choir team. Because they realized that I know how to play piano and the church lack of the pianist, I was pushed do so. That must me an unforgettable experience because I performed when the first time I attended church. All the people in the church are very nice. All of them are welcome me very much and force me to do this. So I love this “Job”! And I can feel warm and can meet many friends over there.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, we have a simple celebration. We hung the lantern and ate the moon cake which I brought from Hong Kong. This was the first time they tasted the moon cake. And the like these a lot because they like Chinese culture also.

Nikki birthday is on this month. Justin and I prepared the meal, made the cake and bought the gift for her. We have given her a marvelous birthday. After the meal, we went to cinema to watch the file. A wonderful day for my family.

That all of my sharing and Continued next time!
